@lavalamp97 SAME. LITERALLY SAME.
@Saswizy WHOA.
@lavalamp97 THIS MUST BE FATE
Still one more batch of acceptances guys, don’t worry!!
I am so against this system that drags out the process for so long. My kid applied by 12/1. Still at Step 4. We leave town for break on Friday. Will give us about 3 weeks to visit accepted schools and make decision. The schools want diverse students but make it difficult for those of us who have spring break in March. And what high achieving senior wants to miss several days of their AP courses the month before the tests? With my older daughter we could not visit all the schools she was accepted to as she had obligations in April and could not leave town.
@lavalamp97 and @Saswizy I’m in the same boat as you guys! I am from NYC and I still have not heard anything. I am still on step 4. sigh [-O<
Im from NY too but haven’t received anything
I guess it really has nothing to do with location since a bunch of us are from New York…
I’m from NY too, no decision yet. On my school’s Naviance, only 1 out of 8 kids got in, which probably isn’t the number of kids who may get in after all decisions are sent out, so it seems like a lot of kids in NY haven’t heard back from URochester yet.
@aerospace15 From Bangladesh. They also sent me an email where they mentioned that the admission committee have been looking at international applicants for September 2015. This means the international students will get their decisions very soon I guess.
@devileng I am from Mexico, and just yesterday I received a physical letter of acceptance! So yes, probably through these days URochester will be giving int. students their decisions. I am SO HAPPY for getting accepted because it is my top choice!
@CSofiaCV Thats great! I didn’t get a lot of scholarship. Just a merit-based award of 15K. Not going to Rochester as a result. Will be going to Georgia Tech.
So did people get merit aid in their acceptance letters? Would any be coming if we didn’t?
Well, my son was accepted in the early round,receiving his acceptsnce letter March 2; no mention of merit with acceptance, but info about scholarship came about a week later - around March 10 - on myroc. He only just got his complete financial aid package via email yesterday - March 24. Hopefully this will all happen a little more quickly for you since it’s closer to final decision time for students.
I received an email stating I am eligible for the alternate list yesterday.
@15croberts : me too. And that means you’re waitlisted.
At this point, since so many alternate list offers have been sent out and (according to some source I can’t remember right now, maybe CDS) only 3% of applicants are offered the alternate list, do you think that they’ve finished sending out these emails?
UR admission tweeted that every applicant gets an email. For those who haven’t heard back from anything yet should hear this week. Also, the batches aren’t based on the state, so it’s likely there will be NY letters in the last batch! Don’t worry too much! Things work our for the best! Good luck!
Is the acceptance through email or on the portal?
Are rejections through email only?
