Which would you choose?

University of Miami/ Miller School of Medicine 7 year Prog with full ride
University of Rochester 8 year program (REMS) with 15 grand/ year

I love Miami and the full ride is awesome, but Rochester definitely has the better medical school. Please help!! I am really confused about where I should go.

IMO I’d take Rochester’s program. Harder to get into, easier requirements (3.5 and no MCAT), Rochester’s a great school.

Miami. Y’ll be doc an yr earlier. You can use this year for a longer residency (for ex. ortho) Save money during undergrad and med school. weather is great.

Do you have a full ride for the Miami undergrad AND medical school? With the Rochester program, you’ll only need to contribute $15,000 for both the undergrad and medical school?

^When talking about scholarships, it’s usually only for the undergrad portion. The 15k meant by the OP was a 15k/yr scholarship for the undergrad years at Rochester.

Yepp schrizto is correct

And I wouldn’t say the requirements are necessarily easier… Yeah the GPA is lower but Rochester seems like a harder school than UM.

i think rochester because it has the better medical school and you got some scholarship. unless you are financially constrained, in which case miami would be better
