Rolling Admissions, wait or go?

Hey everyone! I'm looking at applying to a couple of schools who operate with rolling admissions. I have only taken the SAT once and haven't taken the ACT at all. My score as of now on the SAT: 1400/2040 (710 CR/690 M/640 W)

I am taking the SAT again on Oct. 4th and the ACT later in Oct.

The question is, for schools with rolling admission should i go ahead and send in my application with my first score or should i wait to retake and then send the app with the better scores? I know that the additional scores will get to the admissions officers eventually, but does it look better to send them with the initial app?

HELP!

I am particularly interested in University of Pittsburgh (of schools with rolling admission)

ehh you applying UHC for pitt??? 2040 is for Pitt extremely good. To tell you the truth 2200 and above, adcoms don't care anymore, to them a 2390 is about the same as a 2240. If you can raise it significantly sure wait. If not don't worry about it.

You'll be fine with a 2040 for Pitt. I would just apply now.

^????

and bump!

bellabee I asked a similar question and the majority of the advice was to go ahead and go for it. Esp since your scores are already in range.

Keep in mind some rolling admission schools up the standards as they fill their slots (PSU) for example. So you may have a trade-off depending on the timing. I think for PSU it was Nov 1 last year.
