I wonder if anyone's is listed yet.

Your room assignment will be available on Thursday, August 31 through Thursday, September 21 . Please contact your College Residence Life Office if you have any questions.

I'm thinking more people should be noticing this...

I hadn't even seen this before.

What'd you all put for your preference of Single or Double? It'll be fun/interesting/funny to be able to see what people wanted and what people got. Schadenfreude of sorts ;)

I asked for a single 3 days after the admissions site went up. Here's hoping I get it.

I put double because I heard it's hard to get a single as a freshman anyway (I'd imagine it would be since we're overcrowded this year).

Edit: I had to change this because I realized I was talking smack. Oops.

Nah. There was an email a while ago stating that there were a shortage of requests for singles.

:o Oh my! If it just wasn't for the $500 extra moolah needed for a single, I'd have requested a single!

But alas. $500 is a lot of money that I can do a lot of things with.

i.e. Taking me out to eat at PF Changs :}

i want ucsd to have triples. but rate savrs are kinda like triples.

Ew, I can't handle 3 people cramped in a room. I'm already not used to two, but I can handle that. Three? Yikesers. I cannot do that even to save money.

Me too. I think I'd drive myself insane.

Then again, I'm wondering if I actually signed up for the rate saver instead... crap.

i can't stand just one other person. if it's just me and one other person, i'll go crazy.

i gotta agree with syneria. that's why i signed for a single and am really hoping i get one too...

does anyone know how much a double is per month?? thanks for the answer

Double. Life is about to get interesting...
Though I think that a suite would be fun. You get more room and I dunno about SD, but SC suites get their own bathroom.

RDW, every Resident Hall room in UCSD is part of a suite (unless you mean suite as a single, for some odd reason..). Lemme pull up some information for you...

All of them have bathrooms meant for 8-12 people each.

This is why a single in this situation is excellent. You get the rooming together experience (with aid of the living rooms) but you get your own bedroom.

Oh, and as you can see, Warren's rock (Marshall has a nice setup too), and Sixth's suck =)

^^ and that is why he owns in smartness

Why choose a double? Either you like privacy and you choose single, or you like money and choose triple (rate saver).

Because two's company, three's a crowd.

hmmm...I see slorg's point, but i like privacy and i hope to get a single! haha

btw so simple....

single: $8689
double: $8189
rate saver (triple): $7189

Oh, and as for prices, *here * is a sample contract for the housing.

The "Total Fees" annually as the contract lists them are:

Single: $8711.00
Double: $8211.00
Rate Saver: $7211.00

Theres then a bunch of other **** regarding what specific plan you're going for, monthly, quarterly, or annual payment.

EDIT: Oh drat, I've been beaten; however, whats up with the differences in prices......Where'd you get your info, 16399?
