Here's the situation, Me and my friend are both going to the same school. We had planned to room together and put each other down on our request sheets and were told that it was very likely we'd be put together since the college is under capacity and most people get the room that they want. Well we just found out that since he plays soccer and i dont that we may not be put together since at our school the atheletes live on a seperate floor because they come in late alot and don't want the other students to be disturbed. this isn't the problem i have although i do wish that it was my friend i wa sliving with not a stranger. but my roblem is that my school wont release the roomate information until the campus arrival date. I asked them why they wont and they said it was because they have a lot of changes ... I'm just frustrated because now i dont know what i should bring or not cuz i dont know what the other guy is gonna have too....

Not releasing roomates until arrival? Damn, they should change that...like both of you bring the tv and no one brings the fridge or some ****

often times friendships are ruined by living together because your friend does all these little annoying things you didn't know they did before you lived with them. So, if he isn't your roommate, things may be better, plus it will force you to meet new people and you & your friend can still stay friends.

Wow, what school is that? You need to know your roomate so you can coordinate to bring stuff...weird.

what school are you going to? if its not in podunk, usa, then i would say dont bring anything that needs to be shared. (ex: fridge, big mirror, tv, etc). Unless it's really important to have and you cant go a day or week without it. Then figure shizz out with your roommate and you two go and buy the stuff together. one person buys a tv the other a fridge and so on.

Most schools have store reps on campus, I know mine has a refrigerator company right there on move in day to lease you a fridge. TV's may be another story but you can live without one for a week.

yeah at my school the streets are filled with all sorts of vendors from fridge companies to lofts and futons. Check and see if this is done at your school so you can do it all then. It is usually pretty cheap so its not like you have to pay extra for the convenience
