I know this might be a weird question, but both of my roommates (including me) want the top bunk.. how do we solve who gets who? names in a hat? i know in the end, at least one of them will be annoyed..-_-. lucky me

Either someone is really nice and compromises, you could rotate beds if you're all nice and willing to compromise, or first one there gets it! Seriously, there are so many options, you'll figure it out. If you're not the first one to get there, I'd push for the hat option since you might have a chance that way. ;)

I say you guys designate me as the official bottom bunk chooser. Then all of you can try to persuade me to NOT choose you as the bottom bunker using things such as: money, alcohol, sex, etc...

Just get there in advance and tell them to suck it!

Agree, easiest way is first come, first serve.

It's first come, first serve.

why top bunk?

so hard to get in and out off

i move in earlier than my roomies so i chose which i get :)

isn't the lofted bed the more preferable one?

I like the top bunk cause you don't have to do your bed all the time, can sleep whenever you want... but bottom is a lot easier for access... and when you have "guests" over... I had the top bunk (not the loft) and my roommate would kick from the bottom to wake me up and stuff, its kinda fun to have someone below you... but try to get the bedside desk if you can, makes life a lot easier...

How DO you get into the top bunk? It looks difficult, lol.

Climb the side. Or the ladder.

or the desk if you get it next to it...

I had my bed lofted last year....and let me tell you...waking up early in the morning and climbing down the ladder is a pain!

Also keep in mind that sometimes the lofts are a lot higher then the bunks.

I'm so glad this situation worked out for me two years in a row. Yay for having a fear of heights and sleeping on the bottom!

(Seriously the bottom is great...unless you are a germ freak...cause everyone sits on it).

:)

both of my roomates want the bottom bunk haha

Settle it fight club style. Last girl standing wins.

bottom > top.

So...you're a bottom?

I dabble, first top loft for a year, then bottom, for a quarter or two, before switching to top loft again. Less effort is required on bottom eh?

Is it likely for most people to hit their heads against the ceiling if they sit upright on the top bunks? I'm 5 ft 2 in...

This is a weird question, but do people occasionally fall off the top bunk? Because I'm thinking about taking one of those bed railings with me incase...

And finally, is the desk under the loft bed ok in terms of lighting? Whenever I imagine it, I see a freaking big shadow looming over most of the desk for some reason.

Thanks.
