just looking for another opinion on getting accepted into Ross :)

I am entering UofM this fall (September 2011) after being accepted early decision last winter.
ACT:32
SAT:2120

My first year classes are as follows:
First semester: Statistics, Econ 101, Sociology, Comm 101 (16 Credits)
Second Semester (projected): Chinese 2, English 125. others will be scheduled later...

I would consider myself a good leader. Junior Varsity LaCrosse captain, Varsity LaCrosse Captain, 1 of 8 elected members to a state wide High School Athletics Coucil etc...

What are my chances to get into Ross next year? And what kind of grades will i need?

I think last year the average to get in was about a 3.65 GPA. This years data is not released yet. By the time you apply, I’d guess it would be about a 3.7 average GPA to get accepted. Class difficulty is taken into account. I’ve heard engineers getting in with 3.3’s as well.

Do you have Calc credit? You need that in order to apply. As far as grades go, they can range a lot. LSA students usually have GPAs around 3.2-3.9; I think 3.6 is around the average. Accepted engineering students’ average GPAs are lower but I don’t know the exact numbers of that.

As the poster above me has said, they don’t look at any of your high school achievements so make the best use of everything going forward! It seems like you have a solid schedule if you can hold up the grades. Personally I think essays are the most important thing of your application.

I think that is last years because they already have a number attending for pre-admits, and I vaguely remember the 101 from last year’s data of pre-admits attending, and it was also definitely a 33 ACT. Might be wrong though.

^^ yeah that’s definitely the new one. Last year’s PA class had an average SAT of 1492 (for those admitted), instead of 1450 or whatever it is for this year’s.
