RPI/Albany and Union/Albany

is it okay to apply to both programs?

Or it will be viewed as conflict of interest by medical school because RPI is research based and union is management based.

Also in RPI, we were told that if you have not done any research, application will be rejected irrespective of other stats, is this correct?

my ds is a freshman this year for the rpi/amc - had 2 years of research as well as high stats - there were extensive q on research during the amc interview. applied only to rpi/amc and not to union/amc.

I would only apply to rpi/amc if you have research experience, and I would only apply to union/amc if you have significant leadership experience. That is what these two programs emphasize, and you won’t be interviewed if you don’t seem to be a “fit.”

ok so if there is no research experience skip rpi/amc?

If you have the 100 dollars I would apply to both. In the past people would choose under which college they wanted to enter under.

The acceptance rate on some are 5% so they are harder than many ivies. Accordingly, I would apply to many to up the odds.
