Okie dokie, I've decided to run for class vice president. It turns out that I'm the only serious candidate for this position, but I still have to make a speech to the entire class in order to get it. Any tips on what to put in my speech?

I want to put in some humor and references to pop culture, partly b/c its my thing and partly b/c I don't want them to fall asleep.

Anything for inspiration would greatly help!

Yes, but aside from that, I have no idea what to write about. Granted, I know to put in "vote for me because of blah blah", but that's about it. Is that all I need? I've never done this before.

At our school, one kid made a rap out of like 5 running for president and then he made a succinct speech afterwards and he WON cuz of the rap. [Ask the administrators first.]

when i ran for sophomore class president..i think i won because i was serious...people knew i was serious (i guess lots of people know me somehow...i'm not friends w/ a lot of people...but i'm friends with a lot of different types of people)oh...my voice also cracked in the middle of my speech and people started laughing. lots of people i didn't know voted for me cuz of that lol

High school students tend to vote for people they remember. Whether they remember you for the 40 minute speech, substituting gibberish for the English language, farting loudly during your speech (you get the idea), more will tend to vote for you. Unless there's some kind of pressing issue and your school is in the exception, they won't care how qualified you are or about the issues.

And yeah, all of those things (and more) occurred in my HS.
