<p>I'm really interested in rushing a sorority, and I was looking into some of the houses and they mentioned sending in letters of rec. Can anyone explain what exactly I need to do before rush? Thanks :)</p>
<p>your image of the greek system is very different from reality. Just rush and grab the actives attention.</p>
<p>That won’t be necessary. There will be a week called rush when all the fraternities and sororities set up booths on library walk to recruit new members. They will most likely have fliers with the dates of activities and parties. Just attend them and try to get the active to like you. If you give you a chance to pledge they will give you a bid.</p>
<p>Don’t worry about letters of rec. That system is so outdated and impossible since we have students from all over the country and world attending each school. Check out panhellenicucsd.org and click on the link on the left side that says Go Greek 2011.</p>
