Hey i'm considering transferring from Bentley University to Rutgers business school. It would be cheaper and i feel like i would have a better shot finding a job in NYC which is what i want to do. I love the academics here and i'm afraid i might sacrifice that with this transfer. Average salaries for both schools are the same so i don't know what i'm paying extra for.I love finance and would love to find a great job in that field. Would it be a smart move to transfer to Rutgers, a lower ranked school. Would i be better off finding a job there over Bentley? and if not do you think it is worth the tuition to stay at Bentley? Granted i feel Rutgers is a better match financially geographically and socially, i want to make sure i land the job of my dreams after college.

My daughter got accepted to RU Business School and we are waiting to hear about scholarship from a private school.

I can tell you that you will probably have a better chance finding a job thru RBS. The finance major at RBS is great. They have better internships and connections in the NYC area, as well as job placement. Granted Bentley is Bentley. My daughter was recruited to play there but the tuition is insane.

If you dont have a preference for either campus, the RBS at Newark has a brand new building, with an unbelievable finance department.

Contact them and go for an information session. If you need a personal contact, pm me. We met with an advisor in November. They have self-reported grades and my daughter got accepted in one week.

The only thing there isnt any scholarship money at all unless you are top 1% of your hs class.

Good luck with your decision.
