Hello! I'm choosing my courses for my first semester at rutgers SAS and I want to follow the pre med track and apply for the ba/md program. I'm planning to take general bio, general chem, expos, and math. Is it ok if I take math 135 my first semester and still take the other courses? Will I be behind?

You’ll be completely fine if you decide to take math135 first semester. Pre-med only requires that and stats, but CalcII looks good as well. So don’t worry about it.

Take 151, its a better course, leaves you more options and its not really harder.

Depending on your major, your calc 1 will be either calc 135 or 151. Calc 151 is for engineers and certain science majors that require more advance mathematics.

If you are sticking to the normal biology major, then take calc 135. It is easier and wont put that much stress as it is already taking expos, bio, and chem.
