Hey, I'm a sophomore in high school and I was just wondering what the avg. stats for people who are accepted into Rutgers pharm is in terms of EC's Volunteering GPA and SAT? Also, what SAT II's do you guys recommend taking and the scores? I've been pretty interested in Rutgers Pharm from what I have heard and I was just wondering if the stats are realistic enough for me to reach. I know its a really competitive school but I'm just looking for some information.

Thanks in advanced guys.

I don’t know about average stats, but Rutgers doesn’t really look at SAT IIs. As long as you keep your grades up, do well on the SAT, and apply early (Rutgers does rolling admissions), you’ll probably have a good chance.

Ah, okay.
Any way to make myself stand out to admissions by any chance?

I heard that Rutgers has some sort of program that automatically accepts people with very high GPAs and SAT scores, but I’m not sure if it’s true. I was accepted within two weeks of sending out my app, but that may have been because I applied early. If you look at the financial aid website, it gives a table showing you how high your GPA and SAT scores have to be to earn scholarships. If you’re in the top 5% (top 3% for the pharmacy and business schools) and have at least a 1500 on the math and CR sections of the SAT, you’ll get a full scholarship. If you have those stats, it’s likely that you’ll be accepted.

I also mentioned pharmacy in my essay. You should probably do the essay if you want to get into the pharmacy school, even if the app says that it’s “optional.”

You can also look through this website to get an idea of what the admissions committee looks for: http://pharmacy.rutgers.edu/files/Admissions_High_School.pdf
