Rutgers SAS Honors Essay

<p>Does anyone have any insight into how much the honors application essay will help to get into the program? What sort of grades are sufficient enough to get accepted?</p>

<p>I don't know if I can get in, but I'm hoping to.
600 CR, 750 Math, 760 Writing, 12 Essay
700 Math 2 C
4.01 / 5.4 weighted GPA</p>

<p>I did not write an essay to get into the honors program, but I'm sure that if your grades do not suggest admission, your essay definitely should. </p>

<p>but do not lose hope completely just yet. I have a friend who was not top 10% (she was approx 28 out of nearly 180 kids) and she was offered admission to the hp, probably because she had kickass extracurrics. </p>

<p>surprisingly, rutgers looks at a little bit more than numbers, or at least in my experience.</p>

<p>Yeah, I am really hoping I get into Honors. I have 680 CR, 750 M, 790 W, but I am just outside of top 10% at an extremely competitive public high school (about top 12%). I have great ECs too.</p>

<p>I have good extracurriculars, im in the top 25% but I dropped my rank so no college knows it. Now i just have to write a good essay...</p>
