Does anyone know anything about housing, did I have to get a lottery number back in January to be able to get housing in the fall?

Here is what I found.

I. Apply for a Lottery Number

All eligible students who wish to live on the New Brunswick campus are required to apply for a lottery number between Wednesday, January 19, 2011 and Monday, January, 31, 2011. The date and time you apply does not affect your lottery number.

Congratulations Quietsoul, and I don’t believe Transfers go through the lottery process of housing, but rather a process similar to Freshman apps without the guaranteed housing, don’t quote me on this.

Thanks, and yes, you’re right. I called Rutgers and they told me Transfer students should wait until acceptance, and then they can apply for housing. It is not guaranteed, but I heard most students get in.

Question for those who have been admitted into 3 schools, I’ll use my examples to make it easier to understand.

I applied to SAS-NB, SEBS-NB, and SAS-Camden. I was admitted into all three.

If I already enrolled into SAS-NB, is my Rutgers status supposed to say:

SAS-NB: Enrolling
SEBS-NB: Not Enrolling
SAS-Camden: Admitted

I was curious, because I was just accepted into Camden today, and they sent me an email with my transfer credit evaluation, even though I did not enroll into the Camden campus.

I did not get a transfer credit evaluation through email when SAS-NB accepted me.

How come there is “Not Enrolling” and “Admitted” for the 2 schools I am NOT enrolling in? Shouldn’t both of them be “Not Enrolling” since I am already enrolling into SAS-NB?

I have a question, how does Rutgers view transfers from 4- year Universities in tough majors. At Purdue(top 10 engineering school) where I go to school the average gpa in engineering is around 2.6, and as a result I have under a 3.0. I hope I have a shot of getting in.

I will have about 65 credits by the end of this spring. GPA of 4.0 through 50 credits. Will take about 12 more credits for an associate degree in Chemistry in the fall so a total of approximately 77 credits.
Coming from Brookdale community college.

Damn that’s good. Blowing me out the water. Lol if I was you I would take it easy since your gpa would speak for you. But who knows what RU is thinking.
