Well guys… we only have to suffer up until April 15th! There must be a decision posted before then… we can hang in there!!! :D

iAstonish - True!

schooldude - Yup, I’m not toooo anxious. I think because a bunch of us got our statuses updated they are really starting to look at them.

Yea mine has been updated without being rejected and was just updated again when I added SEBS the other day, so that’s nice lol

Lexsi are you transferring from Cali? I noticed you said Rutgers was 2000 miles away from you.

Definitely! They don’t hate us… yet.
And nope - but you’re close. Transferring from Oregon!

haha hopefully they won’t hate us at all

Aw man…I’m not part of the bunch whose statuses got updated I’m getting worried…I wonder if they update our statuses over spring break?

Ahhh!! I’m still waiting too. I check my status every morning. Ahhh!!

I got in and I still check all the time to see if my financial aid has been posted or for any other updates.

crunchmunch - Don’t worry yet, they couldn’t possibly review all the files at once. A few people going without their account ever updating. And YES they update over spring break (unless they’ve had some awful budget cuts, but every year that is when the bulk of acceptances come in).

That is true what lexsi said every spring break and week after is when most are done…get ready haha

Hi!

I’m also applying for Fall 2011 Transfer. I’m not a NJ resident… Do you think this would affect the decision for NB’s SAS???

I would be transfering from a CC to either NB or Newark (SAS). I sent my application in March… Newark admitted me; however, NB says “in process.” Also, the system says they have not received my HS transcript, which I sent weeks ago.
Stats…
GPA: 4.0 (if I don’t get another B this semester, and if they do not count a B I got on a prep class)
Credits: 60+

I don’t understand on how they make the decisions and look at the applications. I have a couple of friends who applied right before the deadline, and their materials were recieved the first week of February. They were already accepted in the middle of February.

On the otherhand, I applied at the end of November, sent my high school transcript in at that time, and then sent in my Fall 2010 grades in January. I’m still waiting on an answer.

We all applied for for NB SAS, and all have around the same GPA, same ec’s.

It’s so annoying. Is there anything I can do except wait?

lamullinga - You sent your app in reallllly late - and since it’s not complete yet, even though you have a great GPA, you might not get in (or just hear back really late). I personally had to send my transcript in three times.

amile - Unfortunately, no… And yeah, their decisions do seem arbitrary at times. Did you all have the same credits/workload? And are you sure your app is complete?

@lexi… I know, I was going to stay in my state for undergrad. However, my situation changed in late February and I decided to consider other schools (places where I could really like to go).
How is Newark? I have heard is not safe; but if I do not get into my top choice I might go for Rutgers after all.

lamullinga - I have no idea personally about Newark, but I have heard it was awful and it has never appealed to me. What is your top-choice?
But still, considering you have perfect stats… if your transcript comes in soon you might get in. It’s just a weird situation.

@lexsi… Yes, I understand. I know it might have been late for me I got nominated for the Jack Kent Cooke scholarship last February, and some of my professors told me I should look for schools other than the ones I was considering at the time. So I applied to Rutgers, Cornell, Columbia, and NYU. Top-top choice would be Columbia. However, if I do not get enough $upport, I might just go for Rutgers, which is much better than my previous choice here in Florida, and very affordable considering the quality of education.

-lexsi- We all had the same courseload, two of us even have the same gpa of 3.7. My app is complete. It was last updated 1/13 and it says all my items have been received.

I hate the waiting process.

They looked at my application yesterday it seems. The date on the application changed today, with yesterday’s date.

Does the system update on weekends?

@iAstonish: No, they only update on Monday-Friday. But I think you will hear your status very soon.

@Ameli: It might depends on the major that you applied to. What major did you apply? Did you apply the same major as your friends?
