to transfer students preferably from community schools what was you GPA like??

Im gonna bump this post....I applied with a 3.18 and am waiting on reply

3.18 is not going to cut it.I hear about students all the time getting rejected with 3.4 and up GPA's.Sorry to sound like a dic%head, but if you were tranfering from a 4 year school that was on the same level I would say your a shoe in.Tranferring from a cc with a 3.18 is not real good.I hope you get in..good luck

Do you think the C- which is bringing down my GPA and was received in high school and is on my college transcript will be considered? I tried to get it taken off my college transcript but I couldn't

Why is that high school grade mixed in with your college GPA? I think the best thing to do..and I have told others this,is to go to admissions and see someone. Let them know your face,so when it is time to get in they can remember who they are talking to.I am still confused to why that high school grade is there. If what your saying is correct, then you really should have a 3.3 GPA.Which,if indeed you took high level courses at a cc,would validate you having a real good shot at getting in.I think you should see someone at the University. It sounds like you got a raw deal. Are you instate? If so,then you should really try to make an effort to go.If not,get a copy of your unofficial transcripts and send them ,but get a contact name and send it directly to them( with permission of course).Good luck,I hate to see someone who is qualified to get in to Rutgers, hampered by an informality.

Yeah, I took a math course under a concurrent enrollment program at my high school the class was in my high school however I got college credit for it, which at the time sounded great as it only cost about 100 dollars for a full 3 college credits, but now its kicking my ass because I ended up with a C- and I cant get it off my transcript. Im assuming they will be able to see it was a course I took in high school, but who knows. I already sent my application in. Do you think it would benefit me to still visit someone at the college? I am only about an hour away and have lots of friends there I visit frequently anyway,so going is not a problem at all.

-I am instate

Anything would help at this point.Remember...even if you get you GPA raised..3.3 is still kind of low to get in. If you want to get in bad enough, you might just have to make the trip..good luck
