<p>I just looked at my award letter and it says my tuition will be $30,000 for this year. It was listed at $24,500 last year. At this price I could gone out of state for not much more. I can't wait for the merger to increase the tuition even more next year.</p>

<p>What exactly does your letter say? Tuition alone certainly isn’t 30k. They may have included estimated costs (such as books, travel money and spending money) in the figure to give you a truer estimate of cost.</p>

<p>I meant tuition along with room, board and fees. It’s a hell of a letter to send without fully explaining what the 30K represents? And this number is before they jack up prices once the board meets to determine the final costs.</p>
<p>The tuition for year 2012-2013 comes out in July. In other words, it’s not up yet.</p>
<p>In the year 2011-2012, the fee for SEBS was: $25,135.</p>
<p>troy, again, they are probably estimating the <em>total expected cost</em> to attend. This includes things like books (sometimes $600-700 for 1 semester) travel to and from college, spending money, etc. </p>
<p>They don’t want you to refuse aid thinking that your college is totally paid for by the lower tuition+fees+ room and board formula. Then you get to college and you’re like, ‘damn! I have no money for books!’</p>
<p>I think there is an additional 1k fee for SEBS students, but the figure you are seeing is not what you will pay for tuition+fees+room and board. That figure is higher than you expected because they are including extras. </p>
<p>The final tuition rate has not been determined yet, but it is not going to be 5k more than last year.</p>

<p>*There has been no release of how much of an increase, and i qoute, “Double digit tuition increases are not under discussion,” Winterbauer said. Which i presume means percentage wise.</p>
