Hi guys, this is my first time posting here, although I've been a long time lurker. I'm planning on applying to Stanford SCEA, and I wanted to get a better idea about the school' s admissions process. Does Stanford include pluses and minuses when recalculating GPA (e.g. A- = 4.0 vs a 3.7)? I've heard contradicting reports, and now that they're moving to the Common Application, I figured that they might be changing the system. So, does anyone know exactly how it works? It's not going to change my decision to apply there, but it might make me feel a little more comfortable knowing where I stand.

When we visited this spring, the admissions rep said they do not use plus or minuses when recalculating GPA. She also said they don't include your freshman year grades as they realize that first year of high school is an adjustment period.

Stanford no longer recalculates GPA.
