<p>Honestly, I don't think colleges couldn't care less about the difference between a 790 and an 800. But as someone who has all 800s except for my 790 chem, I have to say it's pretty f-ing annoying, and I'm retaking to soothe my ego. Should everyone quit whining? Yeah - I settle for the "do better or get over it" policy ;)</p>
<p>And yes you're all still respectable people despite delta ten points.</p>
<p>The worst is the Chinese language test. Now a 790 might be fantastic for any other subject, but when 3/4 of the country gets 800s on the Chinese SAT because they're native speakers (whose parents drive them to be perfect), then getting a 790 means you're a failure and a disgrace in the community. :(</p>
<p>i'm the proud owner of a 790 on my chinese test. :-) seriously dont retake a 790... all that means to colleges is that this particular applicant loves statistics wayyy too much. if you don't do well on one, just make up for it with other great scores. that you apparently already have. lol</p>
