Ask your principal... at our school there is like an outline for both #1 and #2 so we don't really have any options with what to say.

hey hersheygal!! i was so excited to see this thread, as i was just named saltatoian of my class! :) congrats to you. i wish i could help you, but i have the exact same questions. i have to meet with my guidance counselor, english teacher, and principal to discuss my speech. i know that my school requires a teacher to profreed and guide the students in the writting of their speeches. maybe an english teacher could do the same for you. anyway, good luck! let me know how it goes.

Im a salutatorian as well, not quite thinking about the speech as of right now. I have AP tests and We The People to worry about. Im not quite sure our speech requirements are very strict, im looking at both being formal and informal to appeal to classmates and parents/teachers. Ill see how it goes...

grrr...my school doesn't name valedictorians or salutatorians...

i rank 24/410... 24 u know... kinda like the show... so no speech for me!

How long do you have for your speech? Mine has to be under 2 minutes. I still don't know what I'm going to say. My teachers won't help me brainstorm, but they'll "proof-read it." :(

i LOVE 24! keifer sutherland is to die for!

anyway...haha! :) i wish my speech only had to be 2 minutes. i think it is supposed to be 5-10 minutes.
