<p>When I check REVIEW MY STATUS on the Semifinalist letter, the top of the page has my name and address along with the checklist of supplemental items.</p>
<p>I hope this isn’t yet another bad dream after what happened to my ELKS paperwork. (nothing was even done after it was dropped off at the local lodge, according to the state director, and it wasn’t just mine…)</p>

<p>omg i got the e-mail too. my heart dropped… like, this feels like the UCSD acceptance fiasco where those rejected received acceptance letters… there was indeed way too many semifinalists in one thread… but this is sooo saddening. i already mailed it too… waste of $1… money is so tight, every cent counts, sigh… i wish i just didn’t make it in the first place so i didn’t have to tell my whole immediate family and friends</p>
<p>I feel your pain, still waiting to hear anything from the Elks. Apparently I’m not a national winner because I’m not listed on the site. Can’t seem to get an answer from anyone on the status of things. As far as the Sam Walton scholarship I got the semi finalist email last night and contacted my guidance counselor to get transcripts today, then tonight I get the “you are not a semifinalist” email. I’m sure there is a lot of work involved for the folks who do these scholarships but the lack of communication and “glitches” is frustrating!</p>

<p>I checked the link for status, has my name and address at the top. Has stuff about semifinalists must submit documents etc. under Application Status it says “Complete”. Should it say “Semifinalist” does anyone know?</p>

<p>Hey I’m confused… I received an email yesterday from the walmart scholarship that read:</p>

Sam Walton Community Scholarship has
been selected to advance to the semifinalist stage!
As a semifinalist, you must submit supporting documentation
to continue in the scholarship competition. The required documents
must be received at the Iowa City address by March 8, 2011.”

<p>But today I just received another email that reads: </p>

regrets to inform you that you were not advanced as a semifinalist.”

<p>Was one of the e-mails wrong, or did i not advance onto the next step of the semifinalist stage? The first email told me to send in tax information and official transcripts. Obviously I couldn’t have done either of these things in one day. I don’t know who to contact in the case that this is a mix-up. Please help!</p>
<p>i got a semi yesterday at 5:14 pm and then today i got the “rejection” at 5:06 pm pacific time from my email. my account has the three boxes.</p>
<p>for the ones that only received rejection emails, how does your account look like?</p>
<p>let’s just hope this is a mistake. maybe they sent out rejection to all applicants even those that were semis. <em>crosses fingers</em></p>

<p>thank goodness other people had the same problem. i was freaking out and then i was like, maybe i should check out CC lol. good thing i did. if many people received the semifinalist letter then the rejection letter im thinking we might be semifinalists and it was just a mistake. or at least i hope so

<p>hmm, considering not everyone “SF email” yesterday… and everyone today got the “Not SF email”…i if you got the “SF email” yesterday you should be good. (haha right?)</p>
