Question - my daughter’s major is international business and has taken some classes in high school in her chosen language along with the AP test. At Open House, we were told that students with language experience would be tested by the language department prior to enrolling in language classes. I think this is to be done during orientation. Does anyone have any insight on this? I know that she should contact the department, but we were waiting until after orientation sign ups as there maybe some information there. Thanks!
Check the testing site through SDSU and they should hopefully have information on that. keep in mind sign ups start 5/10 at 10am. recommendation is to avoid any comic-con dates 7/18-22 unless you want to pay inflated hotel rates! have a plan when signing up in case your date is no longer available.
So if you’re a stats major you need to wait until the 26th? Will that mean I will have a smaller selection of classes?
@cocoonutty What college is it under? Some days are specific majors only, but most are opened to all
Nevermind - Just realized stats is under college of sciences not college of L&S
Does signing up for the first orientation day give me a bigger selection of classes? I really want to take stat119 and econ101 because they are required for both of my potential majors (I keep changing my mind between stats and finance) so I want to take classes that overlap so I do not take a class that is wasted later on.

Just checked and all of the classes I want to take are already full… Do we really have to wait until july? There will be no options
Somebody said earlier that classes are full because returning students already registered but more classes will be opening up for freshman. Hope that’s right!
@cocoonutty It’s not always that earliest is best or that if classes are already full then you lose out. More classes will be opened as needed. But if the classes you need are available with your preferred time or professors then choosing an early registration date may be best.
