Does anyone know, do In-state admittances roll out before OOS? Or, is SJSU like SLO where you’ll see a “decision pending” for weeks until you eventually get an outright denial?

Im confused because on my student center it says “apply for admission”, I’m confused if I got in or I have to pay an extra fee. I checked my admissions status and it says my decsions is still pending. So what do I do?

Also I have things on my to-do list that are due 5/1/19 do I have to still do those before the admission decsions come out?

How do I find what my DS’ EI is ? He also got self reported admit F status this morning and the letter says admitted to intended major and I can’t seem to find his intended major he applied for on the portal ? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Kittane, even on my daughter’s portal also they didn’t mention specifically about the major. "Congratulations!
I am pleased to inform you that you have been provisionally admitted to the intended major you selected on your application to San Jose State University for the Fall 2019 term. " So my understanding is her first choice of major is her intended major. Otherwise, they would have mentioned differently on the admit letter.

@Kittane: To calculate the EI, you need the CSU GPA and test scores.

If DS is applying to Engineering then it is a different calculation.

For all other majors at SJSU, the EI is (CSU GPA x 800) + (SAT Math + EBRW)

For Engineering majors at SJSU, the EI is (CSU GPA x 800) + ([SAT Math * 3) + (EBRW)]/2. The Engineering EI puts more emphasis on the SAT Math score.
