Hi,
You were accepted? Can you tell me what your EI was if you were accepted?
3.77 GPA, 33 ACT which I believe is equivalent to a 1460 on the SAT so 4,476.
Accepted!! Admitted by info provided but it doesn’t say which major. Intended major software engineering alternative is biomedical. No message either
Accepted. Software Engineering.
UC GPA 4.15
SAT 1420(math 780)
Local
I got in by self reported date provisionally, but my EI is lower than the minimum threshold, so will I get my second choice major?
Have you read the email notification you received? It says you have been accepted in your intended major you selected. If not, it should be stated as so.
It says I got in, but they didn’t check if I’m over the minimum threshold yet, so I’m worried I’ll get rejected.
You talked to them? When will they check? I’m in the same boat
In the message they sent, they stated: For you to maintain your admitted status and enroll in classes for the Fall 2019 term, all CSU A-G college preparatory course requirements must be completed with grades of “C-” or better prior to high school graduation and you must meet the eligibility index required for admission.
In my case, I meet the EI for my second major, but not my first, so will I get accepted to me second major?
also in the same boat…
I got accepted today into Business Admin, concentration in Marketing! 3.8 W GPA, 1330 SAT, Year-round and Varsity Athlete, a lot of extracurriculars and school involvements.
Just found out DS was admitted yesterday. No email, just portal update and message in portal, same as previous posts.
Major is CS. SAT 1570 (MATH 790, EBRW 780), CSU GPA 4.3, plus 0.25 local boost. CoE EI is 5000+.
Accepted. 1320 SAT, 4.08GPA Psych major
Accepted! OOS, Computer Engineering, CoE EI 4900. Received an email yesterday pointing to the SJSU portal.
@randomburnette:
From the SJSU Website:
We will consider the alternate major for those applicants who did not meet the impaction threshold to their first choice major. We will only admit to alternate majors if there is additional capacity for new student enrollment in that major. For Fall 2019, the evaluation process to determine which majors have the capacity to admit applicants to alternate majors will continue through the beginning of March.
@randomburnette: The first line in the message should say if you got admitted to Intended Major or Alternate…
Accepted for Animation/Illustration! 4.0 gpa,1280 SAT
I’m just confused because how did I get in if my EI is lower?
@randombrunette: Are you a local in-service area applicant? If so, you get a 0.25 GPA bump which might put you at or over the EI threshold. Also all CSU’s superscore the ACT/SAT so did you calculate your EI based on your Superscore?
Yeah, I calculated everything right…maybe they made a mistake?
