Anyone live here? How is the social life? Is it a quick bike rode to the beach and classes? Pictures would be awesome

I’m curious at this at well
what kind of people live there?
the cost of living there is pretty cheap compare to others
I’d happy if this isn’t one of the party dorm/apartment

Hi smartguy! My boyfriend lives there and thinks it is decent overall. It is definitely a popular place. I can ride my bike from there and get to my classes within 6 minutes. It would take similar time to get to IV and the beach. I have some footage of me riding from campus to Santa Ynez, as well as at least one photo of the inside of the apartment. I’ll upload them to my website with a small review later today. Then I’ll post the link here :)

I live in San Clemente, which is down the street.

EDIT: fill out your housing applications wisely and most likely you won’t be placed with party people. More on that later!

Thank you that would be greatly appreciated!i was thinking the villas at tropicana or santa ynez what do you think of off campus apartments in isla vista with roommates?

Hey there! Okay, I need to take more photos of Santa Ynez, so I wasn’t able to get the post up today. I should have it done by this Saturday.

Apartments in IV can be a good choice. You just have to be careful because some places rip you off. Perhaps you’d like Garden Court (across from Santa Ynez, so it’s a fairly quiet area). GC rent is about $800/month for a single bedroom in a two bedroom apartment. My friend who lives there smokes. It’s one of the cheapest places in IV. I’m actually considering living there next year. You can split the room with another person if you like.
