**SAT 2 Biology Discussion Thread Oct 2015**

Can someone please post a link to some practice tests?

I think that simply searching “my max score for biology sat pdf” on the web would do. It shows a pdf under the title “english plaza”, or something like that…

Does anyone have advice on how to study for the experiments other than practice? It’s always unexpected…well, maybe studying the material thoroughly could work. idk

S is currently taking AP Bio and is rattling off mid 700’s on Barron’s.

I didn’t take AP Bio yet…

I’m starting to prep right now and lol you don’t need to be in AP Bio to get 700+. @1618dz

does anyone know of any official test we can practice on? i honestly dont know the true level of the test which doesnt seem right.
thx in advance.

Can anybody tell me what the best book is if I would like to score over 700?

I was also wondering that. Does anyone know any great suggestions?

Aside from the CollegeBoard’s Blue SAT II Book that has all of the SAT IIs, there aren’t that many resources.

Unless, if you come a school that teaches you SAT II Bio as a class (which is pretty rare), there are limited sources.

Wait, can the blue SAT II book be purchased online or in a bookstore? Or either one?

Hello,
I am taking the test in November. i am learning stuff from Barrons and sparknotes. Should I go through my text book. I want 750 above.

What kind of blue book questions are there? Whoever has it, may you please type some of the questions here pls?

when i searched online for practice tests in bio i came up with tests that had some questions with material or words that do not appear in the Barron’s.
Is there a chance that in the actual test i will come across a word that does not appear in the Barron’s?

Yes. Just go over the words on practice tests.

which practice tests? @1618dz

Any…Just ones that you go over

The question states that drug 2 has the same effect as insulin:

A patient with type I diabetes eats a large meal and then takes a
dose of Drug 2. If the drug is effective, what changes will occur in
the patient?
I. The amount of glucose in the blood will increase.
II. The amount of glucose in muscle cells will increase.
III. The amount of glucose stored in the liver will decrease.
A. I only
B. II only
C. III only
D. I and II
E. II and III

For some reason the answer for this question is A. I am pretty sure that isulin causes the liver to turn glucose into glycogen which makes E the correct answer. This question is from a test i found online so am i wrong or is this test just not a good practice?

Hey guys,
So I have been studying for the biology History sat 2.So far my method has been to read a chapter. Then write notes for the chapter. Then after I make flashcards for the chapter. Then on various days I review the notes during lunch at school, etc. so I wanted to know if whether or not taking notes is necessary, because for me it’s very time consuming. So do you think I should stop taking notes for every chapter or do you think the note taking is beneficial to my study routine?
