***SAT 2 Chemistry Discussion Thread June 2017***

Collected my 3rd 800 lul happy as hell

Wow!!! Amazing and Congratulations. Can you please share the techniques and books you have used to prepare for SAT Chemistry?

@saturn_2019 I had the barrons and Princeton book for the SAT Chemistry book. I made a study guide on a google doc and organized all my information from the books. I read through the Princeton closely and skimmed through the barrons and only read information I didn’t know. Honestly, during the Barron’s test, I always got lower than 720 and I got pretty depressed. It even got more depressing when I couldn’t get higher than 740 on Princeton. So I got into the all-in mindset where I just bought a bunch of energy drinks and stayed up all night studying. I made a correction note on questions I got incorrect in the practice tests (the correction note was also on my study guide). Barrons and Princeton should be enough to prepare you for the SAT Chemistry. At the end of all night studying, I decided to take the released practice college board test and I got 3 wrong… meaning an 800 on the test. So it boosted my confidence up quite a bit.

Tl;dr
Techniques:

  1. Organize a study guide and a correction note.
  2. Read at least a book thoroughly
  3. Take as many practice exams possible

Books: Barron’s and Princeton.

Honestly, I used this technique for Math 2, Bio, and Chem. It should guarantee at least a 750 as long as you guys study hard.

Got 800! so happy!

I had Chem Honor last semester, and my teacher didn’t cover redox, base-acid and organic chemistry, had to study on my own. I mainly studied Barron.

800 w/ AP chem and barron’s

Thank you.
