how many can you get wrong for an 800?? I’ve heard that you can only miss 3 or 4, but I also heard that 10% of test takers get 800. Are chemistry test-takers that competitive, or is the data just screwed up
It varies for every test. I think the estimate is between 4-8 wrong to still get an 800. And the reason an 800 is considered 90th percentile is because not many people take it, and the people who do take it are generally smarter than average. I, however, wouldn’t worry too much about it. I think most colleges are fine with 750+. @ibanker38

A lot of kid that take the test are very well prepared. Some have had honor Chemistry and AP Chemistry already done. Other just study a lot. That’s why the percentages on those tests are what they are. Colleges usually look at scores at the 700 level and above. They do not knit pick the percentages.
