SAT 2 Math II

While I've already taken Math II in June, I'm researching for a friend. We've both completed an extremely rigorous honors precalc course this past year and she wishes to take the Math II as soon as possible. However, as she's forgotten most of the material, she's hesitant to take it so early.

How do the curves for each of the test dates compare and is it wiser to sit through calculus and take the test in the spring?

We are both currently juniors. Thanks!

I took it in June after my Honors Trigonometry with Precalculus course. I think sitting through calculus would actually be worse than just getting an SAT Subject Test Review book for Math Level 2 since the test does not require any calculus and she would likely forget even more precalc material during calculus. The curve is usually 44/50 for an 800. I would suggest to your friend that she should just take a few practice tests to see which areas she needs to improve.

According to McGraw Hill, a raw score of 43-50 is 770-800; 33-43 is 670-770; 27-33 is 620-670; 21-27 is 570-620; 11-21 is 500-570; anything below 11… well I hope you’re not aiming for that…
