might not be accurate but pretty close?

I had 36 and 37. (So answer was 36.5)

Can anyone give a rough estimate of what my score would be if I answered all 50 questions but got 7 wrong?

Englishsprout: 780 or 770 based on the scaled chart in the Collegeboard SAT Subject Test book.

Can someone please explain the polar coordinates question? I know the answer was E, but I don’t know how everyone got that… thanks!

Just graph the original point in a polar coordinate system, and try graphing all of those points. The last one ends up in the 3rd quadrant.

^ the point was (-1, -pi/4) right? how would you graph this on the calculator? I’ve never tried using a calculator for this kind of problem before lol

to the polar question you can count; if the magntiude coordinate is 1 start from the polar axis, if it’s negative start on what would be the -x axis for a rect. coord sys;; and for each pi/4 count 45degs counter-clock if it’s positive and clockw if it’s negative…

i haven’t seemed to find the question in the thread yet: it was x^2- 7x +2 with roots p and q and it asked for the question for the roots of p+1 and q+1 , did you guys get
x^2 - 9x +10 ??

I should have used my ti-89 for more of the problems but I didn’t. I got 1-30 right for sure but as I did 31-40 I began to struggle and ended up leaving 9 blank and getting probably 4 wrong.

I completely missed the dog question, the small triangle with the big triangle, and the acute triangle with heron’s formula. For the last problem (50), did anyone apply differentiation? :D

Also, did anyone use any ti-89 shortcuts, such as to find the 11/29 answer?

Oh, and I was stumped by the medicine dosage intake question. I know you had to set the .25 to the 4th power or something but my mind went out completely. I think I’ll just retake the test =X.

There was the question about some football teams or something and how many teams were there if every team played each other once.
Was the answer 8 teams?

I remember there being a question in the barron’s book that was almost exactly the same question except it asked for how many people were in the room if … handshakes were exchanged.

yep i got eight teams for that question. I also remember seeing a really similar question to that on one of the practice tests

oh and hahngookpride, I got that same answer for that question too

what was the answer for the gloves question? something about guaranteeing to have the same pair?

I said that you had to pick 4 gloves to be certain you got a matching pair

I was wondering, what books did u guys use to prep for the Math II? Im taking in June.

barrons+BB

I used Barron’s as well. It’s harder, but it’s better to be “overprepped” than to be “underprepped” haha

I also used the CB book to get a feel of the actual test

Wasn’t the gloves part 4?

There were 6 gloves so in order to garauntee a pair you must get 4 gloves. Am i right?

What would my scaled score be if my raw score was 40?

Esplin: Yes, 4 is the answer for the gloves question. Your scaled score might be 750 or 760, possibly higher.

I used Barrons + BB as well. Omitted 1 and 1 wrong.

ahh i should have omitted instead of guessed…T_T I guessed 1 or 2 wrong…so now I have 3 definite wrong answers, maybe 1 or 2 silly mistakes…hmmm wonder what that’ll bring me to
