I am a junior and gave SAT for the first time this June. I got the scores today.
W/M/CR/E - 800/800/680/11
I know it isn't a bad score but I don't know whether to retake the SAT or not because my CR score isn't good enough. I have heard that colleges put the most emphasis on the reading section rather than on the Math or Writing and my dream is to go to Stanford which is a really competitive college.
So should I retake it or not?

bump. Anyone please help! Its really important!

retake only 1 more time then stop no matter what u get

Bump anymore help!!

If you plan on prepping on that one CR section, I would say take it again. No matter what, your CR score will probably increase. Remember that a lot of schools also superscore the SAT so if you go down in your other sections, it’s not that big of a deal. Prep hard and keep your accuracy on the other sections. Best of luck!

Straight from Stanford’s website: “For the SAT, we will focus on the highest individual Critical Reading, Math and Writing scores from all test sittings”
They will see your improvement if you take it again.

You probably should take it since there is so much time in the summer to study up on!
Since your math and writing are already perfect where they are, you can put your focus all on one subject and like WhatShouldIDo1 said, it will only increase. If you plan on starting now you should definitely retake it! Critical reading takes a long time to improve!

Yeah I guess I should retake it. Probably this october. Thanks for your help!! :)
