You just gave me so much hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you!!!!!

Hey people I'm a 7th grader now and I got a 1320 on the Jan. 22nd SAT

By the way thats a 800 in Math and 520 in verbal

What's a 12-year-old doing on this board??

My friend's little brother is in 5th grade and pulled off a 1410, much higher than anyone in my grade did. So, if you scored well before high school, you can breathe easily. And relax, for goodness sake, you have quite some before worrying about everything.

Too bad it doesnt count for HS!!

LOL.

We all tease him about it, but if everyone's right about increasing test scores with time I wonder what his is going to be like in 6 years. Humiliating, I used to teach him the alphabet for crying out loud.

oh yea well i scored a 1590 as a 3rd grader and only missed one cuz i decided i didnt want to be perfect!!!!!

yeah me too

cool that means we're twins...i actually scored an 1080 as a freshman lol now its in the 1200s and im trying to bump it up to the 1300s which will take some work

In my personal opinion, taking the tests as apart of some stupid talent search is pointless. Kids who score high at an early age, don't necessarily do well later. I know one person who took it as a sixth grader and got 1230. She later got a 1520. I scored higher than her and I never took it early. It seems that it's impossible for a yougin to do badly since whatever they get is justified by their age, even if it's bad for their age. Not a big deal, just something that niggles at me every once in awhile.

"Kids who score high at an early age, don't necessarily do well later"

how does ur example show people might not do better? OF course they are gonna do better i mean what kid at age 12 knows algebra and just forgets it all of a sudden? that may happen but it would be quite rare

kids who score high at an early age are nerds. why are they even on this board? oh yea..they're nerds

One of my friends got a 1600 in 5th grade, but I think that put her as the youngest ever to do so

IMO, I think its pretty ridiculous for a 5th grader to take the SAT....

why is it becuz they might score higher than you? ohhhhhhhhhh shiznatch

geez, you don't have to be so mean!!! Some ppl think it's ridiculous, some ppl don't!! Ultimately, it's the test taker's choice. relax for cryin out loud.

Great job TinyEinstein!!! It is a great accomplishment to receive a 1320 at the age of twelve. I took the SAT when I was twelve, too. I am currently a member of the SET (a part of the CTY program for students who received 700+ on either subject on the SAT before the age of thirteen). It is a very good experience. In my case, I received a chance to improve my studies through that experience because I became more interested in my studies (especially math) and received a score of 800 on my SAT II Math IIC the year after. Now, a year after my SAT II Math IIC, I am studying Calculus C. If you have not yet joined SET, I suggest you to do so because it can help you now and in the future (counseling, mentor programs, etc.). I truly congratulate you on your score. I hope you will continue your studies and maybe you will really become as great as Einstein. I think you will. Keep up with your studies and dont give up when you hit a block!!!

To everyone else: I think receiving a 1320 at the age of twelve is a great accomplishment. I cannot understand why you would try to discourage a clearly bright seventh grader. What is wrong with a seventh grader on this board? You write as though you think you are more mature than a seventh grader and yet when a seventh grader gets a score of 1320, you are busy trying to discourage the seventh grader. Is this as mature as you can get? I cannot help thinking that you are jealous of a seventh grader.

"One of my friends got a 1600 in 5th grade, but I think that put her as the youngest ever to do so"

NO!!!!! havent u ever watched Oprah jeeze she had that child prodigy on their and im sure he scored a 1600 i mean hes GOING to college at age 12 or something.

Well in all seriousness, why would I be jealous of a 5th grader? I love my life! I just think to put a 5th grader through like a 3-4 hour test, if in reality it doesn't account for anything...It is odd to me. Why don't you just get a practice book, and save your money until you actually need to take it. If you're really that smart, then you won't need to take it until intended to.
