SAT Chem Retake?

Hey all, I'm a junior and gunning for MIT, CalTech.

I just got a 780 in Chemistry.

I know that some people will ***** about this but honestly, my humanities ECs and stuff like that are kinda weak and my math/sciences are my stronger points.
I'm wondering how much this will hurt me in applying to technical schools.
I'm either going to major in business or engineering (mechanical, electrical, nothing very chemistry related) or something computer science related.
This is probably my only science SAT II, and I'm a asian male (which sucks).

Anyways I'm wondering if I should retake it in October. I'm confident I will be able to get an 800 but I'm wondering if it would be worth the money/effort.

I understand that’s tough getting a 780 especially if you’re a science person. It’s nice to be perfect, but in the overall scope of things a 780 vs. 800 is negligible in the whole college admissions process.

What percentile is that? If the percentile is high I wouldn’t worry about it. That means that a variation in the curving gave you a 780 instead of an 800. Colleges know that really close scores are basically comparable so I wouldn’t worry.

The Collegeboard guideline says 780 is 91%.
=(

but my 800 in physics was also 91 percentile

personally I’m taking the chem sat II in 2 weeks hoping for an 800, im not sure how i would react with a 780/790
