Alright, so I am signed up for the SAT Chem in June. I think I can score at least a 770, but am not sure. Next year I am taking AP Physics and will definitely take the SAT for Physics. However, my current schedule dilemma has a confliction between AP Chem and AP Physics which might force me to take AP Chem next year instead of AP Physics. So if I do have to take AP Chem, then Ill wait a year for the SAT. However, if I do Physics, should I just not bother with the CHem SAT. BTW I also have the Bio SAT done.

What makes you think you can get a 770 when you haven’t even taken the course?

You wont even get a 500 with out a course. Take a course, prepare well, and then you should be good for a 700+/800 score.

Well I have already taken Honors Chemistry (sorry for forgetting that)

harvard, I was in your same position. I prepared well, signed up but then didn’t take the test after my sophomore (Advanced, not AP, chem) year. Then, I took AP chem this year and had to re-prepare for the test. I honestly think you would be fine this year, but you’ll wnat to get a book to cover some topics (kinetics, equilibrium, buffers) that may not have been covered. You will undoubtedly be better next year, but you may over-think things. You might as well take it this year, see how you do, and take it again if necessary. I wish I had done that (exams had just ended so I went down the shore instead of taking the test :P), as it frees up the date if you want to take other tests. However, I think I aced it, as I’m sure you can too after you take AP Chem.

If you havent started studying already, it will be difficult to score 700+ since the test is on June 5th, take a practice test and sees how it goes. You could take it in October, and study during the Summer.

See I have already started studying and have gone through all my teachers note and have kind of gone through the Barrons books and am currently looking at some sparknotes stuff

^ Do a practice test and see what you get, if its good then go ahead and take it, you’ve got score choice.

well i got like a 73/85 on the blue book test which is like a 750

^ Then take it lol, 750+ is an excellent score.
