Hello everyone, I seem to struggle with double passages because i would usually get 5 wrong, while the other CR questions i get very few. Please leave some tips. Thank You!

Make sure you know who the question refers to. For instance, if it asks “Bobbie would likely view this as —”, make sure you know who Bobbie is. It’s easy to get names mixed up in the double passages.

Look for questions that only refer to one passage and do those first. As always, leave general questions for last. I would NOT read the passage before the questions - I recommend the opposite. Read the questions, find the lines they refer to, look for textual support. For general "tone’ questions, skim over the entire passage and make note of any extreme wording. The answer is always in the text. (I think a lot of people don’t understand this - if you’d like, I’ll get some actual examples and try to show what I mean).

Timing is very important for the double passages, I’ve noticed. It’s easy to panic when faced with two gigantic passages. But keep calm and remember that the answers are there

thanks! I want to see the examples

You need to write down the main point and tone of each passage.

Example: passage 1 is against nuclear energy, passage 2 is for it. Then refer back to this for all the comparison questions.

These used to be the bane of my existence but yeah the first person gave pretty solid advice. Practice!

I’m taking it on January 24th, right now i score about 630, do you think I can break through 700 barrier? Additionally, I learn 10 new words everyday just to expand as much as possible. Please leave comments and thoughts. Thank You!
