Thanks to all you guys I have been able to break a 700, but my scores vary greatly, sometimes 660… I can not even tell where I score now, what is the problem? :))
Keep practicing and don’t worry too much about what you score on each individual practice test. It’s more important that you understand what you’re getting wrong and how to get the right answer next time. One strategy I use for reading the longer CR passages is this: if you have to answer questions comparing a Passage 1 and Passage 2, first read Passage 1 and answer the questions on it. Then do the same for Passage 2. Don’t answer the compare-contrast questions and big-picture questions until you’ve read both and answered the more specific q’s on each one. Similarly, if you’re running out of time in general it could be best to focus more on answering specific questions than on trying to answer all the thematic questions too. Focus on what you can get done easily, and in the least amount of time.
Can you afford test prep of any kind?
SAT isn’t testing your reason skills only, a guy told me that it’s all about the techniques and strategies you apply when doing the test. Have you read Noitaperp’s guide yet? And keep going, I once stuck at about low 600s and then gradually keep doing better, just focus 100% and don’t waver when you’re reading, I bet you would absorb the whole passage and then understand it more thoroughly, which will then lead to easier comprehension and easier to answer those questions. Hope this help, keep going
@Quanh261997 I see that my problem now is mainly of passage comprehension,
@ffina23 I wasted a ton of money on test prep, but iam currently taking a course in which the teacher doesn’t talk much abt reading skills but throws me some practice and claims that’’ vocabulary is the best way to improve CR score ‘’, which I disagree. BTW, How do you think I can improve my comprehension skills? Awn thanks a lot
