SAT going from 1910-2000?

<p>I am going to be an incoming senior this year, which means I have one last shot at the SAT. I have taken it two times already (both times receiving the same score 1910). Any tips for reaching 2000, or is it even possible for this summer.</p>

<p>First SAT</p>

<p>640 Reading 670 Math 600 Writing</p>

<p>Second SAT</p>

<p>650 Reading 680 Math 580 Writing</p>

<p>I'm also aiming for UC colleges (and I live in California)</p>

<p>Study. Do you have the Official SAT Study Guide (aka the blue book; either edition is fine)? Do all the practice tests in that book. Don’t worry about the score. Just try to understand everything as well as possible. By the last practice test you should be able to attack each section with more confidence. Buy Direct Hits (both editions) and study the vocabulary, about 400 words. The jump to 2000 or even 2100 is pretty realistic with two months left (assuming you’re taking it in October).</p>

<p>I don’t get, how native speaker can improve 90 points in 2 months…just reducilous! I’m non-native and I increased my score from 1060 to 1560 in 5 weeks. Just compare!</p>

<p>@Suleyman95: it depends how hard you study. You probably studied very hard so you got such a significant increase in score.</p>

<p>but thanks for the advice. hopefully a 2000 or a high 1900. btw, i find Princeton Review 11 SAT tests (2010 and 2009) alot better than the blue book.</p>

<p>no it’s just because i like princeton review’s style of writing. also they have full explanations of every question.</p>

<p>^Oh, that makes sense, I’m using them for selfstudying the Chemistry and Physics SATs. But the CB BB has explanations online, you just need to make a free account.</p>
