Ok so somehow (not quite sure how this happened... fml) my subject tests scores are lower than my actual SAT I scores.

SAT I
critical reading: 680
math:650
writing: 680

Subjects Tests
english: 640
math: 600
u.s. history: 520 (i knew i was gonna fail the second i sat down to take this... definately not planning on sending this one in)

how badly do these lower test scores hurt me? and how bad are these compared to most people (not just the ridiculously high achievers on college confidential lol)? cause i feel like usually your subject test scores are supposed to be higher... ugh.

Your SAT scores are very good. Whether they are “good enough” depends on where you are applying to college! Check the schools freshman profile online to see the 25/75% range for incoming freshman.

Your SATII’s are really only relevant for admission @ certain colleges - Ivy’s/Sub-ivy’s - otherwise they usually for placement. Once again, check the schools you are applying to!

To see your SAT “Ranking” - go to the collegeboard.com and sign in. You should be able to see your test results and see your % ranking to all who took the same SAT as you.

Whether to repeat - I’d consider the SAT @ least 2X, SATII’s up to you.

the thing is i AM applying to some selective colleges. my other stats are pretty good i think. 3.97 GPA, top 11% of class, good ECs, great essays, etc… (i have a full list of my stats on my other posts ikf you wanna see them).

schools im applying to:
boston u
northeastern
brown (yes i know VERY VERY VERY long shot but im trying anyway haha)
wesleyan
muhlenberg
carleton
grinnell
u of rochester
macalester college

I wouldn’t worry about your SAT II scores being lower than your SAT I.

What I would worry about is your overall scores relative to the applicant pools at the more selective colleges you are applying to like Brown, Carleton, Wesleyan, etc.
