Just took the AP exam in US History... not too bad. How difficult, generally, is the the SAT II test in US History ? Does it require a lot more studying or is it basically general questions from classwork ? Thanks. J

Check collegeboard.com- they have a few sample questions. I'd say AP U.S. History is more specific than SAT IIs, but the general questions on the SATIIs for U.S. history can be tricky. I'd say skill-wise, they're pretty much the same.

Thanks very much. Marc

The practice questions on CB are deceitful in no small way. I can honestly say I felt about one question on the SAT II was as easy as any of those questions. I found the MC section of the AP exam about 10 times easier.

carpe aeternum, I just worked on some of the sample questions they had on Collegeboard, and I must say, they are SO much harder than the ones on the AP Test, which I took just last Friday!!

SAT II is harder for sure. All of my friends who took AP and SAT II US HIS think so

AS, perhaps it has to do with our timing differences. :) You took the sample questions after you took the AP exam and had been prepared for it, and I took them before I began really studying for the exam, a couple of months ago. Which is easier must depend on what one's course focused on, because the CB questions were so easy to me compared to anything I've seen on any test.

I think, however, my main advice to the OP is to not judge his readiness for the SAT II on the online sample questions.
