SAT II World History - June 4th

Alright same. It was the one that made the most sense to me.

was that the same choice that said population problems caused environmental problems…?

I don’t think so,

do you guys think there will be a bigger curve for this test then the released exams?

the released exams were 17 and 20, I dont think you can get any bigger than that. It’ll prob be 20. So far I have 8 skipped and like 3-6 wrong shoot I really thought I coulda done better

I skipped 8 and have around 6-8 wrong.

Ugh, I did all of them but I think I have anywhere from 6-10 wrong. I hope the curve’s generous.

were all the questions we discussed the hardest ones? I’m really starting to get worried because I messed up on a lot of them through all of this discussion

IDK… I was wondering the same exact thing lol. I only remembered these so I hope they’re the hardest ones. I’m really hoping for a good grade because I took AP World and I’m not going to do any better then I am at this point.

how about the one about buddhism in China and Alexander the Great’s empire. I put that it appealed to the poor and the Persians, but was debating between fused into Chinese culture and Athens

When do we get scores?

June 23rd 10 char

Ok, let me clarify some things:

The reason I did not pick the cultural and religious choice for the Gandhi question was because even though there was a Hindu goddess, there was writing in Urdu. I probably over interpreted it, but it certainly wasn’t pushing it. I think I picked the other answer that talked about discouraging the independence movement.

The Mau Mau movement is not the right answer. Even though it was violent, it asked which was not not influenced by nonviolence. Kenyatta wanted Mau Mau movement to not be violent (influence), but did not succeed.

The 1910 South Africa Indian thing was the right answer. It was the only movement not influenced by principals of nonviolence. It doesn’t matter that if the movements were violent or not, it was asking about influence.

Want to take a random stab about where I’m from? :)

i think you overinterpreted them waaaaaayyyy too much… it asked what was the least nonviolent, and the south africa was gandhi so how could it be that. And how would urdu be discouraging independence the Muslims still wanted independence I dont think the collegeboard expects people to recognize languages

Sorry bout typos on my phone

Gandhi was just a barrister in South Africa. There was no violence, but nonviolence wasn’t pushed.

The question asked about influence, not which one is or was nonviolent.

Definitely missed the Gandhi one, even though it seemed several answers could fit the question.

The way I figured it, anything in that question that involved India or South Africa had to involve Gandhi somehow, so I knew it couldn’t be them. Mau Mau movement was definitely the most violent. The way they referred to it as a “movement” rather than its more common name, the “rebellion”, was their attempt at hiding the right answer.

@Jman, i agree with you. I put the Mau Mau Rebellion because I believe (not 100%) the question said which of the following areas was the least nonviolent?

shoot does that mean they hid the answer for Alexander the Great in Athens… I thought he conquered the most land in Persia cuz they had more land in the first place

I chose Persia, I didn’t know Athens was an option?

same I chose Persia because they had the most land. Athens was an option but it didnt say Greece so I have no idea these questions are so vague
