SAT IIs . . . need advice on which ones to take

So I thought I would just NOT take the SAT IIs because... yea. Don't want to.
And then I visit the NYU website and read it 1000x more closely and it says starting from the 2007 class (me) 2 SAT IIs are required (exception for other colleges in NYU) and .. ***. I'm screwed. :(

I'm thinking of taking the SAT II French but there's with listening too and I don't think I can stand with listening. Does it truly make it harder? I mean I know it depends on the individual, but in general for all SAT II language.. yeah?

I kind of want to take the SAT II Korean but I figured that would be stupid because I'm Korean American.

So.. I need suggestions on which SAT IIs to take. I hear that Biology is one of the easier ones but I'm not strong in the math&sciences.. I'm more of a history/English person.

But I suck at analyzing.
And theres an awful lot to memorize for history.
Anyone have advice?

Do you have a GC? Ask him/her! That's what their job is, to help students! What are you thinking of majoring in? That would be a helpful area to take SAT IIs in.

My son took the SAT II in Biology, Physics, Math I, & US History. He's going to take the Math II, because the UCs like it & his GC is encouraging him to consider engineering (those schools want to know how he is at higher level math).

My son is a natural at history & didn't study too much for the SAT II (only got a 4 on the AP US history test though, so maybe the curve was tougher).

The one thing that would have helped him was to take the exam in May instead of waiting until June (since he was studying for the AP exams in early May). Oh well, he still ended up with scores in the 700s, so I guess it worked out.

Math 2C ... eziest SAT II
