Hey everyone im currently preparing for the math level 2, biology, chemistry and physics sat subject tests and my tutor has suggested taking some ap practice tests as a preparation for for the actual exam. He said the ap tests are much more difficult than the subject tests and if done successfully would be a more than adequate prep for the exam. I was wondering how much truth there is to this. He's not an AP teacher so he could only help so much. So specific to those subjects is the ap test harder than the actual sat exam and if so how much harder and how can I adequately prepare for the sat exam if I do choose to study by way of ap.

SAT subject tests and AP tests are not interchangeable. Math 2 requires no calculus, so AP prep would be useless.

AP Chemistry was definitely harder than the subject test. Take practice subject tests for subject tests, the AP tests test more advanced knowledge that usually isn’t needed for subject tests.
