Which test, in your opinion and experience, is easier? For example, ap biology vs molecular biology sat 2 or ap vs sat literature. Which did you score better on?
AP’s are usually harder and more advanced, but note that AP exams might not have a corresponding SAT subject test. For example, there is no SAT Calculus subject test.
Will taking a regular year long chemistry (we have no honors or ap chem) with a prep book be enough to get a good score on the Chemistry SAT in June?
I think the general consensus is that the SAT subject tests are harder. Although you don’t have to write essays or do a free response section like you do on the AP exam, you do have to know the material better. If you understand concepts, you should get a 4 or 5 no problem on the AP exam. But for the SAT exam you need to go very in depth and know kind of obscure facts. On the APlit test I got a 5 and on the subject test I got a 720. I would usually get like six wrong on The multiple choice section and 7-9s on all my essays. For bio, many people have stated that the AP test is harder. Ap is breadth sat subject test is depth.
Thank you so much! That clarifies a lot, I really didn’t know there was even a difference between the two.
