SAT in January and deadline on the 1st of February, what should I do?

Hi guys, my first post here :D

Guys, I am planning to take SAT in January again, since I want to improve my score. But most of my schools' SAT deadlines are on the 1st of February... It takes about 2-3 weeks for SAT scores to come out, so I am assuming that it will be late by then. What should I do? Suggestions?

Contact the admissions offices at the schools you’re applying to and ask if they accept/look at the January SAT for 2013 RD admission. I intend to retake in January as well, so I’ve had to do that, and even though the schools I’m applying to have early January deadlines, they still accept January SAT scores.

Hello !, I actually learned that it takes the College Board score sending service a whole month to send selected scores to colleges. Considering that SAT scores are released 3 weeks after the SAT exam, and that the deadline for documents completion is March 1st, would I be able to use my scores for admission if I take the SAT on Januray 28th 2013 ?

^The College Board’s statement that it can take four weeks to deliver scores is a statement it created in the dark ages when tests were scored by hand, score reports had to be individually typed on a typewriter before sending, and the only way to send scores was by mail. It can take that long today if something goes wrong with your test putting it on hold and delaying your scores from being released when others are. It can possibly take that long if the college accepts scores only on paper by mail but I am unaware of any that still do that (College Board actually makes the cost prohibitive to a college to remain in the dark ages like that by charging significantly more to the college for that kind of delivery than electronic delivery). Otherwise, if you send scores by listing colleges in your test application as ones to automatically receive scores upon release, it is likely that the scores will be sent and delivered by the day you receive scores on-line or up to a couple days before by CB 's putting the scores into an on-line account each college has with CB for the purpose of downloading scores. Ordering scores sent after they come out even by rush delivery is slower and could take a week or more to deliver because such orders need to be checked by human beings and right after test scores are released many thousands order their scores sent at about the same time causing a backlog of orders to be processed.
