do you get investigated for a 400 pt increase? or is it a 500 pt increase? anyone who improved substantially who didnt get investigated/flagged?

bump…

Are you planning on… cheating? o_O
if not… why are you asking this?

no i actually think i might improve that much through studying

the test is specifically designed so that 400-point increases with the same student are highly, highly unlikely. if you produce a result which suggests their product is defective, you can bet that they will be interested in in seeing whether the customer is at fault, instead of automatically attributing it to a shortcoming in their product.

Then why worry? lol The test-scorers aren’t going to look at everyone’s score and say “WOW 400 points”.
You’ll be fine. For goodness sake I jumped 300…

1900 to 2200 to (2300)

@SheepGetKilled
I wish I can jump 300 points from 1900.
HOW DID YOU DO IT?

Dorkyelmo, that is EXACTLY what they are going to do. If you have an increase that far to the right on the standard distribution, CB will immediately suspect something is amiss. If they didn’t, how could they make claims about the integrity of their product?

So how do they check? Lol

The SAT might be similar to the ACT i think, a method on the ACT is you can basically appeal it and argue more…or they can give you another ACT and if you are within like 3-4 points of that score, your score is valid, or you can get a refund, but its a tough situation, and quite frustrating for someone who might have gotten very lucky.
