SAT January 2012 - ALL International Discussions

OMG!!!i i got 1600 to lol i dont even know how i got that right lol i literally just divided stuff and times it at the last minute lol dumb luck!!!

i got doctor a as well, for that i think i but -2 as well, i just went to graph and cpunted lol, i guess i didnt do as bad as i though 3/3 lol

sorry got confused with the doctor question did put a, not d. Thought a was d. srry. Also got -2, and 1600.

The only question I get confused is the 729 square one. I just guess and take E, don’t know if it’s right.

What was the square one? Can you write the question?

It was like ‘which of the following is square of a number?’
I also got …729. The square of any number must have 0,1,4,5,6 or 9 as the last digit and …729 was only such option :D

Anyone else missed the ‘their head’ —> ‘their heads’ error in identifying error section?
I fell in such a lame trap. Don’t know how I overlooked that one :(

well yeah, you just take the square root of each number and see if it is whole. 729 accomplishes that. So sqrt of 729 = 27. Easy

Oh and internationalie, almost missed the their head one. But remembered the quote from some movie, “Off with their heads!” So yeah, almost.

was the 729 one the question were they covered the first digit of a four digit number and asked which one was the square of a number? i chose 729 as well becuz that was the only one with a square. You guys remember anymore math problems?

OMG I get wrong with the one p and p+3. it’s can be divided into 2, 3, 9. I thought 3 and 9 only @@.

i got that one, i misinterpretation the question wrong at first, but later on i realised the answer was e which was 2,3 and 9. I think people will look over the fact that its p+3, i did at first, and thas how collegeboard made an easy question hard !

how can u remember all of these questions @duydangle? lol

The question which had 4 numbers and we had to find the probability that the sum of 2 randomly chosen numbers was 10.
Could we take same number twice? I mean was the number of total possible choices 6 or 10?
And, do you know how much would be 10 essay and 3 wrong in writing?

u cant take the same number twice, the numbers were 2 4 6 and 8, i cant remember what i got for that though, 10 essay and three wrong would be like 750 i think, well atleast over 700

does anyone know what the curve was for dec 2009 sat?

our curve may be different because of the different math section

For the question in the parenthesis – critical reading – the options were like:

a.) expand scope of claim
b.) acknowledge a contrary view

Does anyone know the right answer? I put b. It was something like “few people think mangas are temporary (some say most)”

Another question for critical reading, the answer for the turtle question was “longevity” right?

@paigedah what about the curve for cr?
