SAT January 2012 - Math

Yes that was number 12 and they were all the same and it was E

For the g(b)= F(b) +2 I believe was -3

i put 16/6 instead of 8/3 :frowning: IM SO MAD

^Ouch
Arctk3: Mode, median, and mean were all the same

For the abs value, I got “I only” as well.

@000ooo0000 a=-3.

Anyone got a complied list yet? xD

Things are so far looking good :slight_smile: 1 wrong

a^2 - 2ab + b^2 = ab, what is a^2 + b^2

I am SO Embarrassed… OMG %%&^#%(%^

@jesskidding isn’t 16/6 the same as 8/3 or you have to simplify??? I put 2.67 (haha) which i’m pretty sure is acceptable, since I used all the spaces.

was the question with the university and the college 49 or 50? and also, can someone recall the question with the age and the shopping? what was the answer to that one?

It was for sure 49

Yes WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO I put -3 and I really did get the problem. I just thought since the output of f(g) or something when g = -3 was 6 and 2 + 6 equaled 8 but I had no idea!

3ab is what I got for that a^2 + b^2 problem…

Was that one 3ab?

@arctk3, was the answer the first one in the table on the left?

yeah it was 3ab

@jesskidding
I think 16/6 is fine, because it does simplify to 8/3. I put 16/6 (was so rushed at that point and didn’t think so simplify), and after some searching through the CC archives, there are plenty of threads that say not simplifying is fine as long as it fits in the grid. It better be!

@jesskidding yeah it was, it was the first one on the top which was -3

Who had experimental math?
I’m pretty sure I had experimental math because I had three 25-minute math sections… which is good because I made a few careless mistakes in math :confused:
Anyone remember what questions were on the experimental math part?

Was the shaded area in a hexagon experimental??

What was the college and university credit question again? I remember substituting things around a little, but I can’t recall the entire thing and thus no recollection of the answer.

Pi was the answer for the square inscribed in the circle no?
(x + y)pi
