I am a little unsure on which of these tests to take based on what courses they match up with.
My school works as follow:
Normally, Freshman take Honors Algebra I, then double up on Plane Geometry and Algebra II the next year if they wish to take Honors Chemistry their sophomore year (if they don't, they just take Geo), then junior year they take Pre-Calc, and then AP Calc their senior year.
I was able to take Algebra I at the high school when I was in 8th grade, and so I took Geometry Freshman year and then Algebra II sophomore year. I am now a junior, going to take Pre-Calc.
Which one (or both) of these Subject Tests would I be prepared to take based on the classes I have taken? My schools Math department is very good.

You should be ready for Math II. Don’t take Math I and Math II – it’s a waste of time and money. Math II looks slightly better on college apps.

I would take Math II in maybe May or June, after you’ve done most of your precalc course. Talk to your precalc teacher about it!

Check out the practice tests for Math level 1 and Math level 2 on the College Board web site to get a better idea of which test is best for you: [SAT Subject Practice Section](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board)

Take Math 2. It doesn’t test on anything above precalculus material. The curve is also much, much amiable on Math 2 than Math 1.
