SAT Math I & Math II: When to take?

My D is currently a sophomore in high school and currently taking Pre AP Calculus. She will be a junior next year and will take AP Calculus. She is interested in applying to competitive colleges so when should she take the SAT Math I & II Subject tests? I have heard that some colleges will not accept SAT Subject tests taken as a sophomore. BTW, she's not planning on majoring in math for college.

It’s probably best not to take both Math I, II (better to take one or the other, plus another subject test). The best time to take a math subject test can vary, but I recommend taking it after finishing pre-calculus.

Thanks, then which one should she take? She’s taken- 7th: Pre AP Algebra I, 8th: Pre AP Geometry, 9th: Pre AP Algebra II, 10th: Pre Ap Pre Calculus. Would she be ready for the Math II at the end of Pre Cal?

She should be ready; math II only covers math up to pre-calculus. It might have an occasional question on finding the limit of a function (which is sometimes first covered in calculus) but limits questions on math II are pretty straightforward.

Thank you!
